D-Groups are discipleship groups at New City Church. They are typically made up of one D-Group Leader and 2-3 disciples. They are mostly free to set up there own rhythms of meetings, prayer, study, discussion and fellowship. D-Group leaders have demonstrated gospel-centered theological clarity, Christian character and a missional life.
By and large, D-Group leaders are able to develop studies as needed by the group. One of the primary sources of study materials is through Porterbrook Austin, a theological training program administered by New City Church. D-Groups are allowed to take any of the courses offered in the Theology for Everyone curriculum through their D-Group without waiting for it's regularly scheduled quarter.
